A select group of outstanding students has been named to the spring 2019 Dean's List at Adelphi University. Adelphi's deans of Arts and Sciences, Education, Business, Nursing, Social Work and Psychology recognize superior academic work every semester. The Dean's List comprises full-time students-registered for 12 or more credits-who have completed at least 9 graded credits and achieved a GPA of 3.5 or above for the semester. This recognition becomes part of the student's academic record and is entered into the individual's transcript.

New York Tech Student-Athletes Make ECC Academic Honor Roll
New York Institute of Technology Athletics placed 134 student-athletes on the East Coast Conference (ECC) Commissioner's Honor Roll for the 2018-19 academic year. Student-athletes who earned at least a 3.25 GPA for the academic year earned the honor. Additionally, New York Institute of Technology men's lacrosse, men's and women's tennis, and Esports teams had the highest GPAs of any team in their respective sports in the ECC for the 2018-19 academic year.

Kutztown University Announces Spring 2019 Degree Recipients
Kutztown University has conferred degrees for nearly 1,300 students for the Spring 2019 semester. Kutztown University announces degree conferment twice a year, once in the winter and once in the summer. Commencement exercises are held in May and December; however, students finish the requirements for graduation throughout the entire year. The following students have been awarded degrees following the spring 2019 semester. The cumulative grade point average necessary for honors distinction is: with honor (cum laude) 3.40; with high honor (magna cum laude) 3.60 and with highest honor (summa cum laude) 3.80. Students Present at Film and Animation Festival
On May 15, New York Institute of Technology students presented their work at the Film and Animation Festival, an annual event held by the institution's Communication Arts and Digital Art and Design departments. The showcase took place at the NYIT Auditorium on Broadway and included a diverse mix of student artwork ranging from short films, 2D animation, 3D animation, motion graphics, commercials, and more.

University of Scranton Confers Master's and Doctoral Degrees
The University of Scranton conferred more than 625 master's and doctoral degrees at its graduate commencement ceremony on May 25 in the Byron Recreation Complex. Graduates recognized at the ceremony include those who completed their degree requirements in August and December of 2018, as well as January and May of 2019.

Eisenhower Institute students conduct environmental policy research for the Loxahatchee River Restoration Project in Palm Beach County, Florida
During a discussion about the Loxahatchee River Restoration Project at their April 30 workshop, the Board of Commissioners for Palm Beach County, Florida, referenced a report prepared by Gettysburg College students in the Eisenhower Institute's Environmental Leadership program. Over the course of the year, these 10 students have worked closely with Dr. Howard Ernst, Seiden-Levi Fellow at the Eisenhower Institute, to explore water policy in the United States. After spending the fall semester learning about the policy process and relevant environmental concerns, they traveled to South Florida to conduct field research on restoration plans for the Loxahatchee River. Local students graduate from Gettysburg College
Challenge. Failure. Resilience. Triumph. And what it means to be a Gettysburgian through it all. These and other themes were reflected during Gettysburg College's 184th Commencement ceremony as we celebrated the accomplishments of our 611 graduates and looked forward with them to the future. Founded in 1832, Gettysburg College is a highly selective four-year residential college of liberal arts and sciences with a strong academic tradition that includes Rhodes Scholars, a Nobel laureate and other distinguished scholars among its alumni.

Emerson College Announces 2019 Graduates
On Sunday, May 12, Emerson College awarded more than 970 undergraduate degrees and on Saturday, May 11 nearly 300 graduate degrees during the College's Commencement ceremonies. Award-winning journalist, speaker, and author Soledad O'Brien received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree and delievered the undergraduate commencement address. Award-winning scholar and writer Nell Irvin Painter, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, Emmy-nominated filmmaker and theatrical producer Jose Antonio Vargas, and of Miami Dade College Eduardo J. Padron also received honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degrees.

Doctor of Physical Therapy Students Presented Research
Thirty-four University of Scranton Doctor of Physical Therapy (D.P.T.) students who presented research at the American Physical Therapy Association's Combined Sectors Meeting in Washington, D.C., in January. The students conducted the research and made the poster presentations with seven physical therapy faculty members, who served as their advisors.
